Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. 6" x 7 3/4", green cloth with black and gilt blind-stamped titling and decorative detail to front board and spine, details to back board simply blind-stamped, beveled edges to boards, all edges gilt, 271 pp., dark green endpapers. ALL 3 FIRST STATE POINTS PRESENT (pond sailor frontis, 'If Cows Wore.' listed twice in contents, and is on p. 250). This copy in exceptionally good condition, Very Good or better. See photo enlarged. Front board excellent save for some scattered light spots, spine gilt a little rubbed at lower half, spine ends rubbed and bumped, gilt is bright all edges, corner tips and edges lightly bumped and rubbed in places, back board good save for a few light spots and minor soiling. Internally excellent throughout except for an occasional few spots of light foxing. No writing or other marks. There is a slight spine lean (cocking). Otherwise fine. A scarce First State copy. Ships in a box with padding.
