Illustrations with captioned tissue guards. Covers show age discoloration, soiling and spotting, wear to corners, fraying to tips, toning to spine, toning/soiling to spine labels. Bindings are firm. Volume I has damage loss to endpaper at top of front gutter; crash visible at front gutters of both volumes. Volume II may have had a repair to front gutter. Moderate soiling to endpapers; light thumbing wear to first few pages of Volume II; otherwise interiors are age toned, free of markings, with limited light soiling/flecking in margins.
