Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Fifth Edition. Dr. Harcave earned his Ph.D. just months prior to the United States entering WWII. Harcave served with the Office of Strategic Services as a Russian foreign area specialist. Throughout his life he would be a leader in Russia studies, publishing several books on the subject. His history of Russia has experienced a popularity not often seen with Russian history books. Part of the interest in his book is because of its depth of history contained in just one volume. Albeit, a heavy volume. A very good copy in a good price clipped jacket. Solid binding. Boards edges show some light edge wear. Titles are bright. Price stamp on front endpaper. Jacket is clipped on all four corners. Small tears to edges and rubbing all around. Octavo hardcover in gray cloth boards.
