Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Tears to cloth to spine. Wear marks overall. Book has moderate forward lean.

It is a long play, taking about 11 hours to stage, and is set during the Renaissance at the time of the Conquistadors; it is a love story dominated by the ideas of sin and redemption and the various characters, some divine and some comic, frequently engage in a dialogue as though between Heaven and Earth.
