Tight, attractive first "Bison Books" softbound edition of this 1964 novel concerning the 1862 Native American uprising in southern Minnesota -- the third title in Manfred's "Buckskin Man Tales" quintette. Tipped to the half-title page is a large glossy yellow pictorial bookplate signed by Manfred in black fineline.
