Mild shelf rubbing to bottom of text block at fore-corner. About an eigth inch of mild dampstain to very edge of leaves at lower rear fore-corner of textblock. About three quarter inch light dampstain to bottom edge of text block at tail of spine, which faintly appears about a quarter an inch at lower gutters throughout text block. MIld dust soiling and very small light stain at top edge of text block. A little edgewear, mild soiling to d.j., narrow light dampstain from tail of spine and an inch or less across adjacent panels. First and limited edition, number 224 of 680 copies printed on handmade paper. Wasson's work on ethno-mycological studies brought increased scholarly attention to the importance of psychoactive plants in cultural and spiritual activities. In this work, through "intelligent and sometimes brilliant but always sensitive and unexpected ways. [he] proposes a new interpretation of the meaning of Soma".
