Condition: Good. 1944. First Edition. 224 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over orange cloth with green lettering. Contains black and white illustrations throughout by the author. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with a few small nicks and rub marks along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean. Light sunning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has light surface wear, with small tears and creasing to spine ends, edges and corners. Lightly tanned overall.
