First Edition
Hardcover. 8vo. Pale red cloth. 74pp. Good plus. Edges a bit rough. Tight, fairly attractive first edition of this slim verse collection, introduced by South Carolina poet laureate Archibald Rutledge. From the interesting short-lived poetry-only Midwest press, which tended to produce small editions. Uncommon. This press ended in ruin, change of hands, founder James Decker's ex-wife murdering the new owner (with whom she was infatuated) in 1950 before killing herself.
