Der Erzähler flüchtet sich hinter eine Vielzahl von Masken und muss doch verzweifeln an dem unauflösbaren Konflikt der Identitätsfindung - weder in der arabisch en noch in der jüdischen Welt findet er eine innere Heimat. Ein mutiges und hellsichtiges Buch, dessen sanfte Selbstironie und melancholischer Witz überraschen.
