Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Cracking to gutters, with exposed netting causing the binding to be shaky. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Damp staining and further darker stains to both boards and spine. Sunning to spine. Book has a slight forward lean.

The book itself shows two quotations written by the former owner on the second endpaper and copyright page, the top text-block edge is foxed as are the early and ending pages, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. The dust jacket shows marginal shelf rubbing of the extremities, a chip from the topmost of the spine, otherwise is not price-clipped remaining bright, colorful, and distinct. As pictured.
