Cloth Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Two volumes bound as one (398 + 362pp.) Pages clean except for a prior owner's name penciled on the first blank leaf, small factual annotations added occasionally in pencil, mild toning around the margins, foxing verso the frontis, a tea spot in the right margins of pp.339-362, and a heavy vertical crease on the final free endpaper; the stitching toward the middle of the book is somewhat relaxed; the full red cloth cover shows softening, edgewear, and even little tears or spots of fraying at corners and spine ends, a few small, pale marks on the front and more on the rear, a pale wrinkle above the spine heel, and considerable dimming and edge chipping of the pastedown title at the upper spine; nonetheless sound and as interesting for its treatment of Wordsworth and Coleridge as of de Quincey and his Oxford.
