Fiedler (1917-2003) was Professor of English at Montana State University for more than twenty years. Considered to be 'the wild man of American literary criticism' his major work 'Love and Death in the American Novel' has been referred to as 'one of the great essential books on the American imagination.' Iain Sinclair, (born 1943), is a writer and filmmaker. Much of his work is rooted in London, most recently within the influences of psychogeography. Margins of pages tanned, otherwise very good.
