Limited to 600 copies, of which 597 actually were bound. Illustrated endpapers. The first Brand Book, actually issued in 1948. With contributions by Noah Beery, Jr., J. Gregg Layne, Paul Galleher, Arthur Woodward, Ramon Adams, others. Ex- Nebraska State Historical Society copy, with the remnant of their tipped-in bookplate to the front pastedown and a withdrawn stamp to the second blank. The book has a 1/8" puncture in the cloth near the top of the front cover (not through to the endpaper) and a touch of wear at the extremites. There are no external library markings.
