Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition. Original softcover book in red with white titles bound in maroon cloth-covered boards with gilt titles which are somewhat faded. Cover has some mild edge and corner wear. Original softcover book is bright with only light, general aging. ; B&W Photographs; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 143 pages; White's "Little Red Book" was an annual publication of stats for the previous year along with a compendium of information on baseball and historical records. Photos in the rear include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Cabby Hartnett and Charlie Gehringer. This particular copy is of some special significance because the original paperback has been rebound as a presentation to Robert T. Paul whose name is printed on the front. Paul was a sportsw riter in Philadelphia. At the bottom of the front there is the presentation: "Compliments of the National Base Ball League." I would guess that these specially bound copies were presented to various sportswriters. This copy is also signed on the inside by a former owner, John J. Murphy, who may have been a New York politician. Nice baseball book with good association.
