Notable for introducing Gustave Hasford who later went on to write a landmark novel about the Vietnam war, "The Short -Timers, that was the basis for the the grim war film "Full Metal Jacket" directed by Stanley Kubrick, with a screenplay co-written by Hasford. Illustrated with photos and artwork. There are several small red ink marks next to several of the poems. The collection was later reissued in a hardcover edition. This is the true first.
