About this Item

An original proposal document, describing the Fokker T.V. monoplane medium bomber design of 1936. Includes full specifications, and wire-line drawings. In exremely good condition, and extremely rare. The Fokker T-V bomber was the only true bomber of the Dutch airforce in May 1940. And it had not even been intended as a genuine bomber too, when its initial design was started. In 1936 the emphasize had been on designing a light bomber and a heavy fighter cruiser. The first had resulted into the G-1, the second the T-V. But the T-V was later designated as a medium bomber for it would be to rigid to serve as a fighter-cruiser. Only 16 were ever built. Bookseller Inventory # 8939
