Description:

8vo., 363pp. Sharp Stated First Edition, bound in black cloth with titles in black against red backgrounds on the front board and spine. Illustrations by Frederic Dorr Steele Square and tight with no toning or foxing to interior pages. Front end-papers is unfortunately heavily off-set from a laid in newspaper clipping which is still present though now in a plastic sleeve. Minor rubbing to spine and spine ends. Still, a very well-preserved copy. Gorgeous, unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.50), has a touch of wear to the spine ends and tips but quite minor. Front flap lightly off-set from that same clipping. But unusually fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. A beautiful collectable copy of a title getting very difficult to find in such nice condition. Seller Inventory # 013643
