Synopsis:
While the national media pays much attention to multi-million dollar scandals, Attorney Thomas Snider provides a facinating narrative about small communities being sold down the St. Lawrence River by local officials, state politicians, and the New York Power Authority (NYPA). Mr. Snider participated in the negotiations with NYPA. NYPA used its $5 billion dollar muscle to engage in a sophisticated information campaign; to influence local officials; and to "buy" support for its federal license renewal. About the Author:
Thomas J. Snider grew up in Massena, New York, home to the Robert Moses Power Dam. He graduated from LeMoyne College(B.A. Political Science, magna cum laude, 1975), and Notre Dame Law School (Juris Doctor, 1978). Thomas Snider formed a law partnership with his brother, and has served as legal counsel to the St. Lawrence River Valley clients since 1980. He has served as counsel to the Massena Electric Department and to the Town and Village of Waddington, New York
