VG- first edition. Blanchard A35. The first Edward Leithen novel in which Buchan explores the fine line between civilisation and anarchy. Very cheaply produced. 238pp Red cloth, black lettering. The spine is sunned and there are 2 small stains on the front. The rear joint has a half-inch split near the head. Internally sound but the pages are lightly browned around the margins.
