Sanyu: Catalogue Raisonné Oil Paintings was published in 2001. The discovery of hitherto unknown paintings and new information over the ten years since then prompted this second volume. This volume contains 42 oil paintings as well as a brief section on Sanyu's sculptures, of which little is known. Also included in this volume is a more comprehensive study of the role of Henri-Pierre Roché in Sanyu's life through his letters, journal entries, essays, and, most importantly, his complete handwritten inventory of the paintings by Sanyu's world in that period.
