It also recounts the legend of Christmas Plates. Included is a short history of the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory, it tells the story of the company from its beginning. A map of Denmark helps the reader locate places referred to in the text. Also ''The 1000 Years History of Denmark'' gives much information on the history of one of the world's most interesting little countries. The book is loose-leafed so that an additional page may be added each year as the new plate become available. Published 1961, pages on Christmas Plates are through 1970.
