About this Item
'Surfacing' by Margaret Atwood. This book is published by Wildwood House and Andre Deutsch. UK. 1973. Paperback in glazed covers. First thus. Wildwood produced a set of books in first edition both in hardback and paperback at the same time. This is one of them. A handsome copy of this second novel from Canadian author Margaret Atwood, who wrote the supremely successful 'The Handmaid's Tale'. in 'Surfacing' a young woman goes in search of her father in Northern Quebec, only to discover more about her past life, sending her into madness. Covers are bright and clean, with the white having slightly 'yellowed' (more cream that yellow) at edges, but just slightly so. Spine is clean and strong with a little creasing. Good edges and tips. Contents are clean and unmarked. Laid within is the original Wildwood postcard outlining the reasoning behind producing a hardback and paperback simultaneously. Not exlib and packed and sent with care. Seller Inventory # 100001589
