About this Item
A first edition copy of this very scarce Victorian book of poetry by John G. Duncan. The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding. A very scarce book of narrative poems by John G. Duncan, chiefly containing his poem 'The Order of the Wine Cup', including the first, second and third sections. With inclusions of knights, lovers, and beautiful imagery, this Victorian poetry surely takes inspiration from the poems of the Romantics. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Remaining bright except for fading to the spine. Shelf wear to the spine, boards and extremities. Small mark to the front board. Hinges are starting but held firmly by cords. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the first and last few pages. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 893M21
