Who Killed Amanda Palmer - A Collection of Photographic Evidence. Lyrics by Amanda Palmer; Stories by Neil Gaiman; Photographs by Kyle Cassidy, Beth Hommel and others. This is the first edition of Who Killed Amanda Palmer, self-published and limited to 10,000 copies. Palmer published it via Eight Foot Books, New York, 2009. There is a record album also titled Who Killed Amanda Palmer, featuring Palmer. Amanda MacKinnon Gaiman Palmer (born April 30, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and performance artist who is the lead vocalist, pianist, and lyricist of the duo The Dresden Dolls. She performs as a solo artist, and was also one-half of the duo Evelyn Evelyn, and the lead singer and songwriter of Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra. The Wikipedia commentary about this work - Her first solo studio album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer, was released on September 16, 2008. Ben Folds produced and also played on the album. The title is a play on an expression used by fans during Twin Peaks' original run, "Who killed Laura Palmer?" A companion book of photos of Palmer looking as if she were murdered was released in July 2009. Titled Who Killed Amanda Palmer a Collection of Photographic Evidence, it featured photography by Kyle Cassidy and stories by Neil Gaiman, as well as lyrics from the album. (The book is full of photos of Amana Palmer feigning death, by various means, in various states of dress and undress, from all around the world.) Neil Gaiman and Palmer confirmed their engagement in 2010 and Palmer hosted a flash mob wedding for Gaiman's birthday in New Orleans later the same year. The couple legally married in a private ceremony in 2011. They have a son, Anthony "Ash", born on September 16, 2015. (Neil Gaiman needs no introduction.) This book, unpaginated but approximately 120 pages measuring 228mm X 275mm, is in fine condition. There is a sellers ticket pasted on the lower front corner of the first free endpaper, Strange Adventures, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The dust jacket is in near-fine condition, the only fault is a 15mm tear, barely noticeable, on the bottom right of the front of the dust jacket. The dust jacket is now enclosed in a protective mylar wrap. This is a beautiful copy of a most unusual book by a very talented group of individuals. Surprisingly, very scarce.
