A visitcard inside identifies it as coming from the personal library of Dr. Elmer Belt, a Professor Emeritus in the UCLA School of Medicine and a collector of Vinciana (Leonardo Da Vinci). The Elmer Belt Library at UCLA houses his personally acquired editions of original Da Vinci manuscripts and books including "Treatise on Painting".
