Uncut. xii,157,(3) pp. Text figs. + atlas of 22 partially colored lithographed plates (3 folding). A very good copy. The German neuro-ophthalmologist, Hermann Wilbrand (b.1851) dedicated his important monograph on the neurological manifestations of visual field defects to Dr. Richard Foerster (1825-1902) of the Univ. of Breslau. (Foerster introduced the first instrument for perimetry and was a pioneer in photometry.) The atlas of plates contains 81 field defect diagrams correlated to disease states of patients.
