A small archive of material relating to Progress Publications Dublin Circa 1940's-1980's. There are three sections: (1) Manuscript poems in the author's hand and in typed format among them are: Concentration Camp, Garland, Revelation, Two Darknesses, A Daily Living. Joseph Mary Plunkett; Pieces of prose include: I'm getting tired so I can Sleep, The Right is Left, Who're You, Only Wanderings, Queue. There are 18 mostly mss. pages titled Plans for Stories and Poems. Also for a Novel. There is correspondence to J.R.M. with a lot of comment on Jazz, and a letter to John Lehman & Reginald Moore at Penguin new Writing. (2) Circa 28 items including mostly correspondence to Flynn concerning his publications, some writers, including Michael Molloy asking for up to date Royal Payments; (3) Circa another 30 items include photographs of Flynn and family members, University exam papers, Constitution of the General Council of the Bar of Ireland as amended in 1948, Progress House Business card and assorted ephemera. Progress House Publishers operated from the 1940's - 2009. Among the authors' they published were Micheal Mac Liammoir, Hilton Edwards, John B. Keane, James Cheasty, Mathew J. O'Mahony,Seamus Byrne, Richard Michael Fox, Murphy, John, M. J. Molloy, Michea?l O? hAodha, as well as many plays. Seller Inventory # DAY1215
