WW2, 1944 , Mediterranean Theatre: Black and White Associated Press photograph of United States 5th Army artillery batteries firing 105 mm Howitzers at German positions on the opposite side of the Arno River. A sticker on the rear indicates that this was "the first American Negro Artillery outfit to go into action in the Mediterranean Theatre with the 5th Army". The photograph is in very good condition.
