The lower outer joint to the front cover is neatly and professionally strengthened. Interior pages show occasional mild corner creasing and periodic light scattered marginal foxing. A name is written in a faded old hand on the front free fly-leaf. Isabella Graham (1742-1814) was a Presbyterian native of Scotland who in 1789 moved to New York City. She devoted herself to good works with several institutions in that city. Her memoires were first published in 1816. A new edition with additions appeared in 1828 [not 1838 as given in Allibone].
