Although it covers some of the same ground as the Airfix Magazine Guide (by the same author) on the subject of RAF paint schemes during WW2, this one deals solely with fighter aircraft, and also covers a much wider range in terms of years - going from pre-war biplane fighters right up to the early 60s. It's not exactly the sort of book to sit down and read from cover to cover as pure enjoyment, but as a reference source it's very detailed and would be useful to anyone building scale model fighter aircraft.
