Front free endpaper, flyleaf, and frontis disbound, but present. Tissue-guard wrinkled. Solid reading copy. Sir Henry Hamilton Johnston (1858-1927) was a British explorer, botanist, artist, colonial administrator, and linguist who travelled widely across Africa to speak some of the languages spoken by people on that continent.
