About this Item
Grant Thiessen/Pandora's Books, Canada. 1981. A Primary and Secondary Bibliography of the books of Michael Moorcock 1949-1979. This is a carbon copy (one of a handful or two, I understand) of the typescript and its dual role, the unbound uncorrected proof, in superb unused condition. The pages are unbound, but quite immaculate. The item is SIGNED BY MICHAEL MOORCOCK. It is a detailed and comprehensive listing of the tales told by Moorcock between the late middle ages and the height of the - thankfully, brief - punk renaissance, also known as the spit, polish and safety-pin years. Postage is higher than quoted.---------.------------------- P.S. Those who put their faith into the unchallengeability of the accuracy and reliability of the number-string method of coding a book's edition state, should read the text on the attached digital pictures 4 and 5. Nowadays the number string is useful in identifying first editions, but it is by no means reliable. Furthermore, it wasn't widely used in the 20th century, when edition identification differed from publisher to publisher. If you have access to an early (1977) edition of Zempel and Verkler's "A First edition?" look up Dodds, Mead & Company ("we do not generally mark a book's first edition"), Eyre Methuen, Victor Gollancz, Alfred A Knopf (USA), Ohio State University Press (USA), Pelican Publishing (UK), Random House (USA), St Martin's Press (USA), Weidenfeld & Nicolson, Arlington House (USA) and others- Some or all of the above publishers may have adopted the number string code since then, but that won't do the bibliophile or seller any good when seeking to determine the edition state of a book published in 1958 or 1971. Relying on the number string is foolhardy and lazy, and it is sometimes misleading.------------------------------. Seller Inventory # 29542

POSTAGE: Unregistered and uninsured shipments are made entirely at the buyer's risk. We, therefore, urge our customers to use a service of registered mail, with the option of additional insurance, depending on the shipment's value. In March 2014 the 'International Signed For' (registered mail) service - used in connection with overseas surface mail shipments - was withdrawn by the overseas postal authorities, meaning that surface mail shipments can no longer be registered or insured. To enjoy the security of registered/insured mail, the air mail AIRSURE service must be used at the appropriate additional cost. Although air mail is more expensive than surface mail, it is also a great deal safer and faster.
PLEASE NOTE THAT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATION RECEIVED FROM ABEBOOKS WITH REFERENCE TO THE CHANGES IN THE COMPANY'S RETURN POLICY EFFECTIVE 23 JULY, 2015, ALL FUTURE SHIPMENTS FROM US TO DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE THE UK WILL BE SENT BY TRACKED AIR-MAIL AT THE APPROPRIATE EXTRA COST. THE ADDITIONAL POSTAGE WILL BE QUOTED.
