It was later acquired by Field Enterprises and ran until 1983. While Alfred Andriola was officially credited as the comic strip's artist for its entire run, Allen Saunders was its uncredited ghost writer among others. Andriola also hired several ghost artists including Hy Eisman, Jerry Robinson, Fran Matera, and Sururi Gumen. The character of Kerry Drake was modeled after Dick Tracy, but while his predecessor often relied on shoot-outs and violence for resolution, Drake's ability to trace clues using modern crime analysis tools was emphasized. This is a three-panel comic strip. Panel One: Kerry Drake meets with Ted Webster and a couple of women in a room. Ted says, "Sorry I couldn't stick around, Sgt. Drake! But Shady Fuller, the barber, insisted on walking with me.to rap about old times.and." Drake interjects, "I just saw Shady at the bank, Ted! He said." Panel Two: Close-up angle of Ted and the woman next to him. Ted says, "Yeah!.He went back, I guess!.Not to miss anything! Y'know, I should confess to you that I didn't actually witness the robbery!" Panel Three: Close-up view of Drake, Ted, and the woman. Drake says to Ted and the woman, both of whom express surprise and concern, "Oh!.I was hoping. But Dosie Lyons, who was with you.Did she see it, happen?". Seller Inventory # 020549
