Romanzo di Francesca Alexander (1837-1917), nota anche come Fanny Alexander, scrittrice e illustratriceĀnata a Boston ma trasferitasi poi a Firenze. Il romanzo usci' nel 1893 con il titolo The story od Ida: Epitaph on an Etruscan Tomb (George Allen, Kent) e fu poi subito ripubblicato nello stesso anno a Boston e a New York.
