副題「ご笑納ください」の大文字短縮版」なる『古狂歌気の薬のさんぷる袋』は文字数が約五分の一で解釈と道草が四分の一で頁数は三分の一。長い「ご笑納ください」と同様に、おどろくべきな江戸以前のユーモアと勇気と自由に満ちた三十一文字のポエムの面白さと偉大さを例証する。思えば、古狂歌と和歌の再見にもなる。「ご笑納ください」に比べて、歌数を数えなかったが、秀歌の大半（と殆どの英訳）を残しながら、多くの首を落とした。歌例は、導入部の後に四季と恋の大なる歌部を始めに、旅、神祇、釈教など古狂歌本にある歌部の総合紹介する。恋と祝や賀歌にそれぞれの別冊あるから、歌例は相当すくない。

本書を読み易いように書いたLiteライト版ながら、解釈を要略、脚韻訳を再見する度毎に間違いを発見するから捨てた本でもない。しかし、日本人の編集や校正どころか、読者一人の感想もまだない内に、約二十年間日本にいない、大人として日本語を学んだ者の生日本語だから、改造版を用意する前になるべく多くの読者の好き嫌い、満足と不満点、ご提案、望み、校正協力、共著の提案などの入力を、よろしくお願いします。
