10,000 Steps Towards Me: A guide to your personal development journey (Paperback or Softback)

This is a book on self-discovery and seeks to understand the issues and obstacles that influence who we are and who we become... told through the lens of the author's personal stories. This is what some of the reviewers had to say:

“If the buzz-quest of the 2020s is, “How can I help?”, 10,000 Steps Towards Me surely asks and answers that call. Life is not a happy accident and Anna Ngarachu’s guide on how to become, and how to reach a unique destiny deliberately, contains unexpected wisdom and practical, determined optimism by which to travel life’s path, preferably the one less taken. Anna’s advice celebrates vive la difference; in this way, it is written for everyone." Candice Bremner – Teacher, Education Leader, Life-long Learner.

"10,000 Steps towards Me is filled with beautiful vulnerable stories to illustrate life lessons and growth points in a practical useful way. I believe it is a reflection of Anna’s spirit. The spirit that has the strength to stand apart so that she can see more clearly, to stand up for what she believes in and the courage to stand out so that she may lead others, through her writing, to a place where they too can be brave enough to create a life they can live authentically. I think it is worthy of being included in every life orientation class at school as a handbook as it has the capacity to change lives.” Lynne Robinson - Psychologist, Life Coach, Author

“A truly remarkable book, overflowing with stories that are relatable and holds a beautiful mixture of humour and optimism that immediately stretches you and inspires you to do more. Unlike most self-improvement books, this one targets an infinite array of areas in which you can, and ultimately must improve, presented through the unique random flow of the writing.” Maraliza Leyds – Friend, Facilitator, Attorney

“Anna allows us to understand and unpack the things that disconnect us from our true selves. She asks incisive questions that urge you to reflect before moving on to the next chapter. This book gets you to take the steps necessary to prepare for the life you want, the work environment/ business venture you want and even the life partner you want. Her storytelling is engaging which gets you to be drawn towards the experiences shared. We get to create our stories and own every facet. This book would be a great 'intended gift' for anyone who dares to change.” Luyanda Dlamini - DTM, Entrepreneur, Author of What Had Happened Was... How to Build Inner Strength When Your World Crumbles

“The real beauty of this book is its authenticity. If you want to walk ‘the road less travelled’ towards your unique future these twelve lessons will impact you. If you long to develop your authentic self, Anna’s 10,000 Steps towards Me will provide liberating insights to assist you.” – Dr. Ruth M Greeff, MBH Ph.D.

"If you're looking for a well-guided, candid conversation with yourself about where you are in life, aspects that have influenced your journey and the power you have to decide at each moment where your energy should be focussed, then this book is for you. There really is a trusting, openness in the context set in this book. It creates a space of non-judgement and wastes no time getting to real talk. Every moment I opened 10,000 Steps towards Me it was immediately relevant to the situation I was experiencing at the time. The biggest lesson for me, overall, is the importance of consciously reflecting rather than limiting your reflection to a process of thoughts going around in your head. Physically reflecting really a step in action. This is a truly timeless work whose teachings will always be relevant.” Noxolo Mthimkulu - Yogi, Student, Friend.
