About the Author
Scott Fowler is a national award-winning sports columnist for the Charlotte Observer, where he has been on staff since 1994. He has covered the Panthers since their inception in 1995 and attended more than 200 of their games in person. He has also authored or coauthored eight other books, including Panthers Rising and What It Means to Be a Tar Heel. He lives just outside of Charlotte.
Mike Minter, who wrote the book's foreword, played his entire NFL career with the Panthers from 1997 to 2006 as a safety and left the team as its all-time leader in both tackles and in interceptions returned for touchdowns. Minter is now the head football coach for Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C.
