A forgotten military uniform in the attic sparked a question that would lead George P. Berg on a remarkable journey through his family's past.

What he discovered was more than a single story-it was a century-long legacy of service. Through careful research and personal reflection, Berg uncovers four generations of dedication to the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force, a tradition that continues today through his nephew.

George has an AAS degree from Sauk Valley College and a BS from Colorado State University. He is the retired president of Construction Research, Inc. George has published a wide variety of articles in industry journals and trade magazines. He served in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry rifleman fire team leader. George was awarded two Purple Hearts, the Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Marine Corps Combat Action Badge, and the National Defense Service Medal, among others.
