1000 FIRST WORDS IN SPANISH

Written by Sam Budds Illustrated by Susie Lacome

• The first steps toward learning a new language are made simple and fun in this exciting picture-and-word book

• Words and images are arranged by subject, such as music, clothes, the weather and animal friends, and will immediately capture the interest of young readers

• Children will love to spot Teddy Bear on every page – in places such as at home, at school, on the farm, on the move and at the seaside – and talk about what they see

• Straightforward questions in both English and Spanish allow beginners to explore the language further

• An English-Spanish dictionary at the end of the book makes this an ideal aid to learning

Welcome to the spectacular world of Spanish! More than 1000 terms are introduced in this book, from cans to pans and from honey to money, each of them fully illustrated by Susie Lacome.

They include concepts that will be familiar to any child, such as shapes, opposites and rooms in the home, as well as introducing exciting new images from the outside world, such as the street, the park, the seaside and the airport.

Without even noticing, young readers will increase their understanding of Spanish words while having fun with Teddy Bear.
