101 Descriptive Words for Food Explorers

Dani Lebovitz, MS, RDN, also published as Arielle Dani Lebovitz, is a pediatric dietitian, children's author, speaker, and food education expert reimagining how kids learn about food. As founder of Kid Food Explorers, she brings together pediatric nutrition, child development, and learning science to create developmentally attuned children's books and hands-on resources. Dani is the author of ten children's books, including the Growing Adventurous Eaters(R) series, and co-author of Food Positivity: How to Ditch Diet Culture and Talk to Kids About Food. Her work is grounded in a simple belief: food is a learning environment, and kids are the meaning makers. Rather than simply telling kids what they should eat, her books invite them to wonder, investigate, build skills, and experience food without pressure or shame because how children experience food shapes their sense of self and how they learn to nourish themselves for life.
