Synopsis
This book offer great family engagement tips to help bring families back together and family engagement, for children to help their parents around the house and become more respectful. Dr. Blakemore truly believes when you discipline, encourage, love your children, spend quality time and share responsibility with them at home, it helps children build character, confidence, self worth, and a time to bond with them.
About the Author
Jade and Clarke were born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but at birth they were taught spiritual development, manners, running and business by their parents. They were deemed too young by others, but their parents could see they had talent. While on 2010 Spring break, Jade and Clarke were amazed by so many compliments and free desserts they received by waiters in restaurants. Jade and Clarke thought all kids were respectful and helpful. While having the conversation with their father at lunch, he challenged them to write about their experience in a book during spring break. The challenge was completed in one day by the girls. In 2010, they became the youngest persons in their neighborhood to ever write, publish and sign a book deal with a publishing company. In addition, Jade and Clarke follow in their mother footsteps as track and field athletes. Their mother Heather Sumpter Blakemore was a short term Professional Sprinter, 100M California State Champion and a two-time All American at the University of Tennessee. The girls currently participate with the Knoxville Youth Athletic club. During the 2012 season they both became indoor Youth National Champions at the USA Track and Field meet in Normal Illinois. Jade won the 60M,200M and Clarke won the Long jump. At their church they participate in the dance ministry, junior usher board and Girls Scouts. Jade and Clarke aim is family engagement. They want to empower their young readers to use manners and help around their home, community and school. Jade and Clarke motto is "A good attitude is a thing that makes a big difference."
