104 Attributes and Actions of God : Characteristics of God in Psalms Bible Study, Praise & Prayers Devotional

Who is God?

What is His nature and character?

God loves, sees, hears, speaks, gives, helps, protects, remembers, restores, shields, and watches. The Psalms provide a deep window into God Himself.

EJ Janik has worked for more than 30 years as a CPA and forensic accountant. Both professions require extreme detail―including solving business disputes and providing expert witness. Using these skills, EJ identified 44 attributes and 60 actions of God found in more than 1,200 Scriptures in the Psalms.

Did you know that, among many other things, God examines, enables, flourishes, and silences? God bears, comforts, defends, forgives, guides, judges, provides, rescues, rewards, supports, and teaches. God also is awesome, compassionate, faithful, a fortress, good, great, holy, majestic, merciful, mighty, miraculous, a refuge, a savior, trustworthy, and wonderful. Furthermore, God is a deliverer, enthroned, glorious, hope, light, lover, and protector.

Numerous Bible translations are included, along with translated Hebrew words. This extensive book is ideal for private or small group study; discussion questions included.

For more than 30 years, EJ Janik has worked full time as a forensic accountant, which includes financial consulting, business dispute consulting, and providing expert witness testimony. This passion for detail was applied to an intense study of God, Lord, and King in the Psalms. For years, EJ read daily in Psalms and Proverbs. This led to a deeper search of the attributes and actions of God, a seven-year project leading to this book. EJ and his wife, Leah, have been married 42 years and have two sons: Grant, a youth pastor, married to Micah; and Tyler, an industrial engineer, married to Leah Marie. EJ and Leah have three grandchildren, Harris, Millie, and Gray. EJ serves on the boards of Leader Formation International and Witness Breakthrough, and previously served on Evantell. He and Leah are members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, and actively involved with Dallas Theological Seminary.
