An absolutely beautiful 1725 copy of "A New Collection of Poems, on Several Occasions by Mr Prior & Others - Adorned With Cuts". Bound in Cambridge panel calf skin leather covers, in very good condition for its amazing age, has some wear to the spine, however all covers & cover string bindings are fully attached & intact, there is one fray string on the left side of the binding however does not effect the condition of the covers or spinal binding, no loose or torn pages, some minor spotting to the pages however for being just shy of 300 years of age they are in a well preserved condition. A very rare piece to fins in such good condition.

Has an ownership bookplate in the inside of the front cover belonging to William Henry Orde Powlett (Paulet) from the well known English aristocratic family Powlett/Paulet. He was 3rd Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle in 1850. He was born in 1818 & died in 1895. The bookplate depicts one of the many Powlett/Paulet family coat of arms' with their signature family motto - Aymez Loyalute. A phrase which you can find etched & engraved onto many buildings in England, such as churches, owned, funded or built by the Paulet family.
