Front board DETACHED from binding; rear hinge cracked. Boards are scuffed at edges and worn/bumped at corners. Head of spine lacking with exposed binding; tail scuffed. Old-hand marginalia on front paste-down & end-page (possibly signature, but ink is dulled). Front fly-leaf exhibits old-hand ownership signature: Edward Whitney s Book November 26th 1796 and again Edw d Whitney s Book Oct. 19th 1797 No. 18 . Moderate toning found in margins throughout text-block. Plates are intact, but exhibits tearing at edges (especially plate 4 with some loss at bottom edge). Plates 2-4 are hand-colored with yellow, blue & red. Old-hand marginalia on rear end-page. Binding of text-block intact. Please see photos and ask questions, if any, before purchasing.
