D. Bruce Howell, an Oklahoma resident for the past 47 years and a retired educator, moved to Grand Lake O' The Cherokees in 1996. His previous publications relating to the history of Northeastern Oklahoma include two volumes about personalities and events entitled, 'Echoes From the Past'.
