About this Item
This is a bound volume of the publication "THE NEW ENGLAND FARMER - A Monthly Journal Devoted to Agriculture, Horticulture, and Their Kindred Arts and Sciences" (edited) by Simon Brown. Volume XV containing all 12 issues (January to December) for the year 1863. Published by Nourse, Eaton and Tolman in Boston. The issues are "illustrated with numerous beautiful engravings." Each issue contains a nicely illustrated masthead. There is an Index at the front of the volume. Condition: Clean covers and spine; bright gilt lettering on the spine; cloth tears at the cover corners; light shelf wear to the bottom edge of the front board. Small cloth tears at the bottom edge of the spine. The top edge of the spine has worn down. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Very nice interior - the pages are clean and nearly appear unread with no issues found. There is name ("W.E. Livingston") written in old handwriting in pencil below near the top of the title page. The same name appears on the front end paper in pen with an intricate ink stamp of his initials ("WEL") below. Overall the book is in Very Good condition. Seller Inventory # ABE-1658338584870
