8vo hardcover. 294 pp. Green cloth over boards. Gilt borders, titles and illustration on cover and spine. Shelf wear to head and toe of spine. tips bumped/rubbed. Some soiling and wear to interior pages. Binding is secure. Some discussion on where this edition fits into publication record. Many argue that it is a first, and an unlicensed copy of the Scribner edition of 1873. Either way, this is in good shape. Illustrations are bright and clean, and cover illustration stamping while not flawless is still nice.
