Side stapled printed paper wraps, 4to (c. 11-1/2 inches tall), pp. unpaginated (32 pages), illustrated with line drawings and B&W photo reproductions throughout. Volume with edges chipped, creases and light stains to covers, upper cover held by the center staple only, text toned with minor edge wear, else unmarked. The Redpath Lyceum Bureau was founded by James C. Redpath in 1868 as a commercial lecture bureau and formed part of the traveling culture then popular in America. This annual sales brochure is the Long Beach Lyceum's "third Lyceum Course", and advertises their upcoming attractions for the 1917-18 season while stating that they will feature "Music, Oratory, Entertainment, Inspiration" and are "The Largest Lyceum Course in California". Entertainers scheduled for the Long Beach Redpath Lyceum Bureau's third season included : The Montague's ; Montraville Wood ; The Ben Greet Players [Sir Philip Barling "Ben" Greet] ; American Girls Trio ; Thomas Brooks Fletcher ; Alton Packard ; The Shumann Quintet ; and Laurant [the Magician] & Company with 4 full pages of text and photos.
