About this Item
8.25 x 5.75" black string-bound album with "Photographs" on the cover in gold. There is faded writing on the inside of the front cover which says "Lone Star, Kansas." Contains around 172 black-and-white photos of areas such as Lone Star, Kansas, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Honolulu, Hawaii from around 1922 to 1933. There are photos of landscapes, people, automobiles, children having tea parties, and some must-see photos of Molly the educated donkey. Among the more impressive photos are early pictures of Hawaii, specifically the 5th Co. Barracks in Honolulu. The travelers also visited Anderson Ranch and White Crest Farm. Photographs measure between 1.25 x 1.25" and 5.5 x 3.5" and are pasted to the pages or held on with corner tabs, accompanied by annotations. The album is complete and in good condition.
