I would rank this book "very good," were it not for the fact it smells a little musty. (Don't all of us who were in college back then?) Sturdy cover with virtually no wear; tight binding, no written inscriptions that I have found. Minor staining on a few of the introductory picture pages (see my photos.) Everything else I've inspected looks nearly new.

Owners Jim Long and Josh Young are both authors themselves, and through their work at Long Creek Herbs, have built an enviable library, which they seek to now distribute to readers with similar interests and respect for the texts. In addition to the aforementioned categories, both men are avid readers, and cannot resist buying interesting books of all sorts when they find them, but the shelves are bulging and life is short. We have plenty of places to donate ordinary books of general interest.
